KC Aero Academy

Wanted to make my 15 year old's birthday celebration special so I purchased a Discovery Flight from KC Aero Academy in Lutz. The instructor Mike was outstanding! He made sure the experience was both educational and also fun. Other staff members were also friendly, informative and encouraging. It was a fantastic adventure and who knows...... maybe it could have been a first flight for a future pilot?

I did a discovery flight with Braden and had an amazing experience. He was super knowledgeable and explained everything about the plane and flight thoroughly. Setting up the flight was super easy with Garrett’s help! All and all, it was an awesome experience and I highly recommend it.

I was training at a different location and struggling with forward progression. Looked at other flight schools to see what the next step would be. KC Aero twas the closest to my house. I went online and input my information seeking evaluation. Mike the chief pilot and instructor called the day dy, under 24 hours and we discussed my training and knowledge levels. It's been three months and the instructors and atmosphere is phenomenal and fosters a learning environment. I highly recommend that if you want to learn l, have the gumption and desire,.check out KC Aero and let them show you a whole new experience.

Great flight school located at a small convenient, non-controlled airport in west central Florida. They offer primary and advanced training both high and low-wing aircraft. I went to them for a refresher course and to obtain a current BFR. My instructor Mike was great. Very well run and professional organization. Highly recommend.

There are many flight schools out there, but very few provide true customization options or are even open to work with you, specially when it comes to your availability. KC Aero Academy does provide this flexibility for both renters and pilots-in-training. The fleet is well maintained as they have a very significant advantage of having dedicated AnP personnel on-site. All of the CFIs are dedicated, knowledgable and friendly. Pricing for rent and instruction is very competitive! They have been around for a while, but the new management is making great improvements which will take this school to new levels. In addition, there is an awesome little restaurant attached to it, which is the fly-in destination of many pilots in the area.

Going on a year now, I’ve been in private pilot training. As a marine veteran, former law-enforcement officer, it’s not easy to find a place that is squared away in every aspect of flat training. I spent the last nine months at three other different schools within an hour of the greater Tampa Bay area. KC AERO ACADEMY is above reproach and I would highly highly suggest this flight training facility and instructors, and I would hold them up against any of the best in the state of Florida at a minimum. The discipline the willingness to teach their drive their performance, their understanding their empathy. Just go so far and beyond, from in-house maintenance to priority scheduling to just understanding what you’re dealing with as a private pilot. It’s most certainly a one stop shop and I could not be happier with our performance. Thank you so much everyone at KC AERO ACADEMY.

Wow we had the best day at KC Aero Academy! We went to Happy Hanger for breakfast not realizing it was at a local airport. I have lived in Wesley Chapel for twenty years and never discovered this gem! The food and service were excellent but what really made our day was we got to see planes fly in and out. My sons Camden and Kyle asked if we could one day fly on a plane so I asked the staff. We just took a flight with Mike Bennett the Academy Director and it really made my boys day! We learned so much, and I can't believe I had not done this sooner. Awesome experience and we will definitely do it again. My oldest said "game changer!" Thank you guys!!! That was really fun!

Stephen Hahn is an extremely intuitive, knowledgeable and Skilled Pilot. Stephen has the perfect ability to analyze his students and teach them all the basic fundamentals to begin flying while challenging yet not overbearing students because everyone has a different learning curve. Stephen tries extremely hard to ingrained the fundamentals of flying, maneuvers as well as FAA regulations and flying rules and protocal. Stephen encourages students to be hands on and gives you every opportunity to learn and make mistakes under his handling of the aircraft. The best part about Stephen is he can be patient and take as long as you need or teach you exactly what you think you need to work on. You will truly get a skilled pilot and your moneys ekrtb CFI and get a license quicker or more safely than with Mr. Hahn and you get the best value for your 💰.
